Mary Fisher, President & Chief Executive Officer

Mary Fisher joined SkinMedica as Chief Executive Officer, and a member of the Board of Directors, in April 2008. She was promoted to President & CEO in April of 2009. Ms. Fisher's previous experience includes more than 25 years in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Most recently, she was Chief Operating Officer of Acorda Therapeutics, a CNS company, with responsibility for corporate strategy and business development, financial planning, sales and marketing, and manufacturing. Previously, Ms. Fisher was VP, Strategic Healthcare and Commercial Operations for Cephalon, with responsibility for product planning and marketing, managed care sales, and manufacturing. Her earlier experience includes positions at Immunex and Boehringer Ingelheim. She is also a member of the Board of the Neuroscience Nursing Foundation and member of the Board of BIOCOM.

Christina Balesteri, Executive Director, Human Resources

Christina Balesteri serves as our Executive Director, Human Resources. Christina joined SkinMedica in March of 2003. Prior to entering the biotechnology field, Christina's experience was in the wireless technology industry working locally for five years at DENSO Wireless Systems. In addition, Ms. Balesteri has held HR positions at Olsten Staffing Services and Household Credit Services. Ms. Balesteri holds Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from California State University in San Diego.

Theodore Ebel, Senior Vice President, Corporate Development

Theodore Ebel serves as our Senior Vice President, Corporate Development. From 2001-2006, Mr. Ebel held positions in Corporate Development and Strategy at CancerVax Corporation, where he was most recently Executive Director, responsible for mergers and acquisitions, in-licensing and out-licensing activities. Prior to CancerVax, Mr. Ebel was Vice President, Strategic Ventures at MP3.com. In addition, Mr. Ebel has held management positions at Amgen, Inc in Marketing and Corporate Development as well as served as a Management Consultant at Arthur D. Little, Inc. Mr. Ebel received a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy Studies from Duke University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He received his MBA from the Wharton School, at the University of Pennsylvania.

Thomas Insley, Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer

Thomas Insley has served as our Chief Financial Officer since June 2003 and a Senior Vice President since January 2005. From June 2002 to May 2003, Mr. Insley served as Chief Financial Officer and as a member of the Board of Directors of Molecular Imaging Corporation. Until October 2001, Mr. Insley held various positions with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, a public accounting firm, for 29 years, where he most recently served five years as managing partner of the San Diego office. Mr. Insley was retired from November 2001 until he joined Molecular Imaging Corporation. Currently, Mr. Insley serves on the Board of Trustees and as Chair of the Audit Committee of The Scripps Research Institute. Mr. Insley also maintains an active license to practice as a Certified Public Accountant in California. Mr. Insley received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Theodore Schwarz, Senior Vice President & General Manager

Theodore Schwarz has served as our Senior Vice President and General Manager since January 2005. Mr. Schwarz served as Vice President of Sales for La Roche-Posay, a cosmeceutical division of L'Oréal, from January 2004 to January 2005. From January 2002 to January 2004, Mr. Schwarz was the Global Strategic Marketing and Business Development Manager at Galderma International, France. Before his position at Galderma International, France, Mr. Schwarz spent 11 years at Galderma Laboratories in managerial and sales positions. Mr. Schwarz received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing/Business from Michigan State University.

Rob Sorensen, Senior Vice President, Operations and R&D

Rob Sorensen has served as our Senior Vice President, Operations since June 2006. In November of 2008 his responsibilities were expanded to include Research & Development and Quality. From 2002 to 2006, Mr. Sorensen served as Vice President of Operations in La Jolla for Smith & Nephew Wound Management, a UK-based global medical device company, and in October of 2004, he became the site manager. From 1991 to 2002, Mr. Sorensen held several executive positions with Advanced Tissue Sciences, a tissue engineering company, until the company's assets were sold to Smith & Nephew. Prior to entering the biotechnology field, Rob's experience was in the semi-conductor industry working locally for Diacon and Signetics in Silicon Valley. Mr. Sorensen received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of the Pacific Eberhardt School of Business.
